Box Score MISENHEIMER, N.C.--The Adrian College baseball team struggled to find its offense for the second straight day and host Pfeiffer once again was able to get the hits it needed to double up the Bulldogs, 6-3, in non-conference action on Saturday.

TOP 'DAWGS
= Junior Brandon Cooper led Adrian with a pair of doubles.
= Sophomore Kevin Cardentey went 2-for-4 with a run batted in.
= Junior Mo Hanley had 10 strikeouts through five innings, but allowed three runs on four hits and two walks.
THE OPPOSITION
= Jake Brown went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
= Cameron Reid (W, 1-0) got the win in relief and closer Josh Topper earned his second save of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= With the score tied 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Blake Winebarger had a sacrifice fly to right field to plate Noah Martindale for the go-ahead score.
= The Falcons added two insurance runs in the next frame on an Eli Blake sacrifice fly to center and Zach Ferrell scored, unearned, on a throwing error.
= In the top of the eighth, Adrian had a great opportunity to score some runs when it stranded two runners on base. Cooper, who led off with a double down the third base line, was eventually thrown out at home for the second out.
= The Bulldogs battled back from a 3-1 deficit to tie it in the sixth. With two outs, junior Ty Peck reached on a fielding error that plated Cardentey and classmate Nick Rauch for unearned runs.
= The teams traded runs in the second before Pfeiffer scored twice in the fifth to go up 3-1.
= Both teams left 12 runners on base.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Pfeiffer, a former NCAA Division I athletics program, competes now in the D-III USA South Athletic Conference.
= These are the first-ever meetings between the schools.
