Box Score 3 ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Adrian College Women's Club Softball Team took on the University of Michigan Wolverines over the weekend in Ann Arbor and came up short in all three games going 0-3 on the weekend.
The Lady Bulldogs started off strong in game one going up 2-0 early at the top of the 1st inning. The Wolverines struck back holding the Bulldogs scoreless throughout the rest of the game and scoring 10 runs of their own early Sunday morning.
Kerri Selzer was the lone Bulldog to record a hit in Adrian's 15 at bats.
Alexis Rutter and
Summer Gaines both recorded an RBI to contribute to the scoring.
Haley Holmes pitched four innings and gave up 10 hits along with eight runs.
Game number two began at 12:00 where the Bulldogs looked to strike back and steal a game from the Wolverines but unfortunately fell 11-0.
Alexis Rutter went 1-for-1 in the second game for Adrian.
Alexia Tobias also contributed with a hit as well.
Jadeyn Lasley pitched four innings and gave up 12 hits and 11 runs, as the Wolverines held Adrian scoreless through the whole contest and scored the majority of their runs in the 2nd inning.
The third game between the two teams was closer and more exciting toward the end of the game. The Bulldogs recorded nine runs with 14 hits.
Alexia Tobias and
Lyta Glombowski were both big contributors for Adrian. Tobias recorded a hit scoring two runs along with two RBI's, while Glombowski recorded three hits and scored a run.

Jadeyn Lasley and
Haley Holmes also got in on the action recording hits as well. The Bulldogs didn't start cracking the bats until the 4th inning and cut down on the Wolverines lead and were facing a 9-6 deficit going into the bottom of the 4th. The Wolverines kept steady and paced themselves, scoring a run to make it 10-6 and then 11-6 as the 5th inning drew to a close. The Bulldogs made one final push in the 6th and scored three runs, but it wasn't enough to match the Wolverines tremendous scoring in the first three innings, they fell 12-9 in the final matchup of the day.
The Bulldogs are traveling down to the Indy Invitational for their next matchups this upcoming weekend.
