HAMMOND, Ind. -- The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 1 hockey team pitched two shutouts over the Purdue Northwest Pride over the weekend, winning both games by a score of 5-0.
The Bulldogs opened the series at home on Thursday night, opening GLCHL conference play with a commanding shutout win while outshooting the Pride, 48-16. The team received goals from
Matthew DiCesare,
Matteo DiGiulio,
Nash Hatcher, and two shorthanded goals from
Sam Spaedt and
Cameron Armstrong. Goaltender,
Noah Decottignies, stopped all shots he faced to earn the victory.
The two teams traveled back to Hammond, Indiana to close out there series on Saturday night, where the Bulldogs came out in another commanding and victorious fashion, holding the Pride scoreless once again.

Caleb Minns,
Jordan Comilla, and
Brodie Thornton all provided tallies in the victory while Decottignies earned his third straight shutout victory in goal to begin the season.
The MD1 Bulldogs will be back in action on October 6-7 when they host the University of Pittsburgh at the Arrington Ice Arena. Puck drop on Friday is at 7:00 PM, followed by a 1:00 PM puck drop on Saturday, both at the Arrington Ice Arena.
