ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 2 hockey team took down CCWHA opponents Miami Ohio in a two-game series at home over the weekend, winning 3-1 and 5-4.
The Bulldogs opened the series on Saturday with a win thanks to goals from
Claire Ames,
Natalie Tolton, and
Gabby Brumme and 21 saves from goaltender
Jennifer Grant. Adrian outshot Miami 29-22 in the contest.
The two teams battled it out again on Sunday in a much closer game, trading goals back and forth right until the end. Tolton,
Devon Cavaliere,
Hannah Berenson,
Lily Storer, and
Bria Hirschman scored for Adrian, while
Emily Tracht made 19 saves in goal for the win. Adrian improved its season record to 6-2-0 with the wins.
The WD2 Bulldogs will be back in action on November 11-12 when they travel to Marquette, Michigan to face off against Northern Michigan University. Puck drops at 9:00 PM and 11:45 AM.
