ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team has announced its schedule for the 2023-24 season. The Bulldogs are coming off another successful year where they advanced to the Division III National Championship where they were name National Runner-Ups. Adrian will look to build on its success in 2023-24 after finishing last season with a 25-5-2 record.
As always, Adrian will begin the season with its annual Black and Gold scrimmage game to start the year which is followed by a first time opponent in Simon Fraser University the following weekend for an exhibition game. The Bulldogs will then jump on the road and head to Utica University for a two-game slate to begin the regular season in the annual nationally ranked matchup.
In the first week of November, the Bulldogs will start NCHA conference play on the road as they travel to Marian University in Wisconsin before hosting MSOE in the season's home opener on November 10-11. The Bulldogs will travel to Aurora University for two game followed by the annual exhibition game with Team USA U18 NTDP on November 22 on the road.
The Bulldogs will return home for a 5-game home stand where they will host Stevenson University on November 25 in a nonconference battle followed by a two-game NCHA matchup with Concordia Wisconsin on December 1-2. To wrap up the home stand, nationally ranked Augsburg with come to town for two nonconference showdowns on December 8-9.
Adrian will begin the new year with a nonconference game at Trine University and a nonconference game with Aurora at a site that is to be determined. The Bulldogs will head to Lawrence University on January 13-14 to pick up NCHA play before traveling home to host Lake Forest College and new conference member University of Dubuque. Adrian will then be tasked with a tough trip to St. Norbert College before ending the regular season with a home-and-home series with Trine University.
The NCHA Harris Cup Playoffs are scheduled to begin on February 16-17 with the quarterfinal round followed by the Harris Cup Semi-finals on February 24 and the Harris Cup Finals on March 2. Adrian will look to grab the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with the first round on March 9 and the Quarterfinals on March 16. The Frozen Four will be held on March 21-23 in Hartford, Connecticut with Trinity College serving as host.
