The twelve incoming freshmen will be joining 20 returners who finished last season with a record of 15-6-2. Unfortunately the Bulldogs fell to the University of Iowa, who was a finalist in the 2023 National Tournament in Boston, Massachusetts.
This season's roster is composed of two graduate students, four seniors, four juniors, ten sophomores, and twelve freshmen. The roster features a distinctive group of student-athletes ranging across North America and Europe, including Michigan (14), Ohio (3), Illinois (3), Wisconsin (2), New York (2), New Jersey (1), Indiana (1), the Canadian Provinces of Ontario (1), Saskatchewan (1), Alberta (1), New Brunswick (1), and the European Country of The Czech Republic (2).
"I couldn't be happier with our final roster." said Head Coach Brennon Wachter, who enters his second season at the helm of the MD2 Bulldogs. "It's always exciting when you can add a talented freshman class to an already talented group of returners. This is a very motivated group, to be excited for this upcoming season is an understatement."
The MD2 Bulldogs open their season this Friday, September 22nd with a 5:00 PM puck drop against the University of Denison at the Patterson Ice Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
