MADISON, Wis. – The Adrian College figure skating team traveled to the University of Wisconsin over the weekend to compete in the second competition of the season. Adrian went on to win the competition as a team totaling 232 total points while picking up 11 first-place finishes.
The Bulldogs earned a team first place finish in the Intermediate Team event. Adrian also added individual first-place finishes including
Dianna Barker in the Novice SP, Novice Solo FD, and Bronze Solo PD. Other first-place finishes included
Miranda Sutton (Senior SP),
Kara Curtin (Preliminary Excel FS), Megan Westphal (Novice Excel FS),
Bella Morris (Senior Excel FS),
Grace Boezinger (Pre-Juvenile Excel FS),
Lianah Noormohamed (Pre-Juvenile Excel FS), and Emma Lavelle (Juvenile Excel FS).
The Bulldogs added a second-place finish in the Low Team event while
Carina Cooper placed second in the Senior SP, Noormohamed placed second in the Juvenile Solo FD,
Fiona Conway finished second in the Gold Solo PD, Sutton finished third in the Senior Excel FS, and
Emily Feldman finished second in the Juvenile Excel FS.
Trinity Reagan made the podium in three events including a second-place finish in the Intermediate Excel FS and the Pre-Bronze Solo PD while placing third in the Intermediate Solo FD.
The top-three points contributors for the Bulldogs were Barker with 36 points, Reagan with 30 points, and Noormohamed with 22 points.
Adrian has qualified for the Intercollegiate National Final in Lake Placid, New York after their successful weekend.
Adrian's next contest will be at "The Ohio Skate 2024" hosted by Ohio State University. The Bulldogs will look to earn a spot in the Midwestern Conference Championship.
