SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Adrian College figure skating team traveled to the University of Notre Dame over the weekend to compete in the National Intercollegiate Final. The event featured 16 teams, made up of the top four from each of the Midwest, Northeast, Southeast, and Pacific Coast regions. The Bulldogs finished eighth overall with a team total of 161 points.
"We were honored to compete against all of these incredible teams, and proud of the fight and determination the dawgs showcased this weekend," said head coach Kayleigh Mulligan. "We are so proud of the fight shown this weekend."
Senior Natalie Bruno became a National Champion in the Excel Juvenile Free Skate Division. She also placed third in the Intermediate Solo Free Dance and earned bronze in the Solo Pattern Dance.
Junior Lianah Noormohamed secured a third-place finish in the Excel Preliminary Free Skate Group B.
Bruno led the Bulldogs with 45 points, followed by Noormohamed with 23 and Lena Hales with 17.
The National Intercollegiate Final concludes the season for the Adrian College figure skating team. The Bulldogs will return next season, aiming to build on this year's success.
