TULSA, Okla. – Adrian College NCAA men's hockey defenseman, Jaden Shields, signed a contract with the Tulsa Oilers of the ECHL. The Oilers are an affiliate of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks and the AHL's San Diego Gulls. Shields is set to graduate from Adrian College this spring.
 
This season for the Bulldogs, Shields was named the Co-Player of the Year for the NCHA while also being named a Sid Watson Award Finalist for the NCAA Division III Player of the Year. This season, the defenseman played in all 32 games recording 11 goals and 28 assists for 39 points.
 
For his career, Shields appeared in 109 games where he scored 24 goals to go with 97 assists for 121 career points. He also led the Bulldogs the three consecutive Division III Frozen Four appearances.
 
According to the ECHL Transactions from March 27, Shields has officially signed a contract with the Oilers and was added to the active roster. Tulsa's next contest is Friday, March 29 at home when they face the Wichita Thunder at 7:20 PM CDT.
