AUGUSTA, Mich. – The Adrian College women's golf team competed in the two-day MIAA Spring Final on Monday and Tuesday. The Bulldogs entered the Spring Final in second place trailing by 14 strokes. Adrian shot a 327 on Monday to make up five of the strokes, but only won day two by two strokes after shooting 330. Adrian won the MIAA Spring Final with a score of 657, but remained in second place in the MIAA Standings.
Sara Bevington led the Bulldogs with a two-day total of 158. Bevington shot a 78 in the opening round followed by an 80 on day two.
Lauren Reed shot 159 for Adrian after a 77 on day one and an 82 on day two followed by
Ainslee Hewitt with back-to-back rounds of 85 to shoot 170.
Olivia Ohmer shot 171 for the Bulldogs with an 88 and an 83 followed by
Riley Kleck at 172 with an 87 and 85.
Abigail Trepkowski played as an individual for the Bulldogs where she shot 98 and 90 for a two-day total of 188.
After the six MIAA rounds,
Lauren Reed sat in a three-way tie for MIAA Most Valuable Golfer forcing a sudden-victory playoff. It took to a third playoff hole to determine a winner where Reed fell short to finish second in the conference as an individual.
At the conclusion of the event, the MIAA announced the All-MIAA Team. Representing the Bulldogs on Second Team is

Riley Kleck. Representing Adrian on First Team All-MIAA is
Lauren Reed.
