PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) announced its Players of the Week on Thursday afternoon. Last week, the Adrian College club baseball team earned four wins with a victory over Easter Michigan University, and a three-game sweep over Western Michigan University. The team was led by
Jack Whitehead who earned the NCBA Player of the Week.
Last week, Whitehead played in all four games for Adrian where he finished with seven hits in 11 at bats. Two of his hits were doubles while also smacking a home run. Last week, Whitehead racked up seven RBIs and scored seven times. He also walked three times during the week and stole a pair of bases.
With four wins last week, the Bulldogs improved their winning streak to seven games before it was snapped against Michigan State on Wednesday, April 24. Adrian will look to bounce back this weekend when they host the University of Michigan on April 27-28 at Nicolay Field.
