FOSTORIA, Ohio – The Adrian College women's golf team traveled to Heidelberg University over the weekend to compete in a two-day non-conference event. The Bulldogs shot a 625 for the two-day total to place second out of 17 total teams. Adrian shot 317 on Friday before improving to a 308 on Saturday.
Lauren Reed led the way for the Bulldogs shooting 76 on Friday and 78 on Saturday to total a 154 and place fifth in the field.
Sara Bevington finished tied for sixth with teammate
Ainslee Hewitt who played as the team's individual. Bevington shot 81 on Friday before bouncing back to shoot 74 on Saturday and finish with a 155. Hewitt also finished with a 155 after shooting 77 and 78 over the two days.
Riley Kleck finished the tournament in 12
th after shooting 157. Kleck opened the tournament with an 83 on Friday before shooting 74 on Saturday.
Olivia Ohmer finished with a 78 in Friday's round and an 84 in Saturday's round to total 162.
Savana Smith rounded out Adrian's starting lineup shooting back-to-back rounds of 82 and total 164.
The Bulldogs will take a week off before they travel to Wisconsin for the UW-Whitewater Women's Invitational on September 22-23. Sunday's round will begin at 1:00 PM while Monday's will start at 9:00 AM.
