HARROD, Ohio – The Adrian College women's golf team competed at Ohio Northern over the weekend where the Bulldogs came away with their first, first-place finish of the season. Adrian smoked the competition by shooting 317 on Sunday and 324 on Monday to total a 641. Adrian defeated the second-place team by 31 strokes.
 
Ainslee Hewitt and Lauren Reed tied for second in the tournament as they each shot 155 for the Bulldogs. Hewitt shot 80 on Sunday followed by a 75 on Monday while Reed shot 76 and 79. Savana Smith finished the tournament in fourth-place after shooting 158 for Adrian. Smith shot 84 and 74 during the two days.
 
Riley Kleck also cracked the top-5 after finishing fifth with a 159. Kleck shot 81 on Sunday and 78 on Monday. Olivia Ohmer finished eighth for the Bulldogs after shooting 76 and 90 for a two-day total of 166. Sara Bevington finished the tournament in 12^th place with a two-day total of 172. Bevington finished the open round with an 89 before bouncing back to shoot 83 to end the tournament.
 
Adrian College is back in action with a two-day tournament on September 6-7 when they travel to the Kyle Campbell Invitational hosted by The University of Olivet at Medalist Golf Club.
