FLINT, MICH.- The Adrian College women's club volleyball team competed in the University of Michigan-Flint Tournament where the Bulldogs went 1-2.
Adrian College kicked off their tournament with a hard-fought match against Wayne State University. The Bulldogs managed to claim one set but ultimately fell in three. However, they quickly regrouped and delivered a commanding performance in their second match, defeating the University of Michigan-Flint in three sets to secure their spot in bracket play.
In the first round of bracket play, Adrian faced a tough challenge against Eastern Michigan University. The Bulldogs showed grit, taking one set, but ultimately came up short, falling in two and concluding their tournament run.
Junior
Kennedy Ross was a standout for Adrian, leading the offense with 18 kills and three blocks. Fellow junior Madison Ritche was equally impressive, contributing 17 kills and three blocks of her own. On the defensive side, freshman
Jersey Patton anchored the back row with an incredible 40 digs, while freshman
Shanelle Woods facilitated the offense with 33 assists.
Adrian is back on action on Saturday, February 15 where they take on Grand Valley State University. Â
