ADRIAN, MICH. – The Adrian College men's wrestling team hosted Albion College inside the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center where the Bulldogs fell short 29-11 on Thursday night.
Senior Zach Phifer opened the dual for Adrian in the 125-pound division, battling hard but ultimately falling by decision. Senior
Adrian Rosas quickly got the Bulldogs on the board in the 133-pound weight class, securing a narrow 9-8 decision victory.
At 141 pounds, senior
Tyler Davis delivered a dominant performance, winning his bout by tech fall to extend Adrian's lead over Albion. In the 149-pound division, senior
Sampson Ross fought in a tightly contested match but came up just short in a 3-2 decision.
Junior
Aiden Smith kept the momentum going for the Bulldogs in the 157-pound weight class, earning a commanding 10-4 decision victory. Senior
Zachary Platte competed in the 165-pound division but fell by decision, followed by junior
Spencer Vos in the 174-pound class, who also dropped his match by decision.

Trenton DiGenova faced a tough opponent in the 184-pound division, falling by tech fall, while senior
Blake Williams moved up to 197 pounds but was pinned in his match. In the heavyweight (285-pound) division, senior
Blake Daniels also fell by pin, as Albion closed out the dual with a 29-11 victory over the Bulldogs.
Adrian is back in action on Saturday, February 1, where they will travel to the annual Whizzer Open in Dearborn, Michigan. The tournament is set to begin at 10:00 AM.
