ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's wrestling team opened its 2025-2026 campaign on Saturday, hosting the annual Adrian Invite. The Bulldogs battled hard throughout the day, finishing fourth overall with 107.5 team points in a strong field of competition.
At 125 pounds, Adrian Rosas had an outstanding performance, going a perfect 4-0 on the day,all by decision to claim first place in his weight class. In the 133-pound division, Eugene Barrientes earned an eighth-place finish after going 2-3, picking up wins by both fall and decision.
At 149 pounds, Collin Oliver secured a sixth-place finish, recording victories by decision and major decision to go 2-3 on the day. Aiden Smith dominated the 157-pound division, cruising to a first-place finish with four wins, two by pinfall and two by technical fall.
In the 165-pound weight class, Connor Williams battled to a fourth-place finish, going 3-1 on the day with wins by decision and technical fall. Freshman Calob Heilman made an impressive debut at 174 pounds, finishing seventh with three wins, earning victories by decision, pinfall, and major decision.
At 184 pounds, Spencer Vos picked up valuable experience, going 1-2 on the day. In the 197-pound division, Shan Swank placed fourth, going 2-2 with wins by major decision and pinfall. Rounding out the day, heavyweight Tanner Craft turned in a strong debut performance, taking third at 285 pounds after going 3-1 with two wins by fall and one by decision.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday, November 15 where they will host Case Western Reserve University. The dual kicks off at 2:00 PM.
