ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team remains ranked No. 9 in the latest USCHO.com and DIIIHockeyNews national polls.
The Bulldogs opened their season on the road against No. 2 Augsburg University, dropping both games in a competitive weekend series. Despite the results, the young Adrian lineup gained valuable experience as several players made their collegiate debuts.
Freshman Sophia LaColla led the Bulldogs offensively with two assists on the weekend, while fellow freshman Maddy Loe scored her first career goal. Senior Courtney Ben and junior Paige Pomerleau also found the back of the net for Adrian.
In goal, Kiera Stack started both games and totaled an impressive 68 saves across the series.
The Bulldogs will open Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) play at home this weekend when they host Marian University on Friday, November 7, at 7 p.m. inside Arrington Ice Arena.
