ADRIAN, MICH. – The Adrian College men's basketball team earned the No. 6 seed for the MIAA Tournament. Adrian is set to travel to No. 3 Hope College on Wednesday, February 26 for a 7:00 PM tip-off.
The Bulldogs wrapped up the regular season with a 7-18 overall record, including a 5-9 mark in MIAA play. Adrian secured non-conference victories over Bluffton University and Dominican University. While in conference action, Adrian swept Alma College, split matchups with The University of Olivet, Kalamazoo College, and Albion College, and fell short in both contests against Trine University, Calvin University, and Hope College.
Adrian is powered by senior

Luke Rager has been a reliable spark, appearing in every game this season and contributing 4.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per contest as well as senior
Kendall Chrismon who averaged 7.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
As a team, the Bulldogs averaged 66.0 points per game while shooting 41% from the field, 28% from three-point range, and 69% from the free throw line. On the defensive side, the Bulldogs averaged 14.2 turnovers, 7.3 steals and 32.3 rebounds per game.
Hope got the better of Adrian in both matchups this season. The first meeting was a tightly contested battle, with Hope edging out a 61-53 victory.
Nick Seifert led the Bulldogs with a strong performance, tallying 16 points, 11 rebounds, and two steals.
The rematch took place in the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center, where Hope secured an 80-57 win. Once again, Seifert led Adrian, finishing with 11 points, two rebounds, and two assists.
"We're very excited about the opportunity to compete in the playoffs", said Head Coach
Tim Kaiser. "There were a lot of close, tough losses throughout the regular season but we know what we are capable of and like our chances to compete at a high level in the playoffs. We have an experienced group of seniors who have experience playing playoff basketball and some younger guys who have really stepped up their game throughout the course of the season".Â
Adrian is aiming to advance to the MIAA Tournament Semifinal game for the second consecutive year. With a win, Adrian would face the No. 2 seed, Trine University, on Friday, February 28, at 5:30 PM in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
