RICHMOND, Va. – The Adrian College women's golf team competed in the Max/Susan Stith Invitational over the past two days, hosted by Randolph-Macon College. Despite facing challenging conditions, the Bulldogs finished 14th in a highly competitive field, which included ten teams ranked in the top-30 nationally. Adrian posted a team score of 673, shooting 330 on Monday and 343 on Tuesday.
Ainslee Hewitt led the Bulldogs throughout the tournament, finishing in a tie for 37th with a total score of 161, after rounds of 80 and 81. Sara Bevington tied for 57th with a score of 168, recording back-to-back rounds of 84. Olivia Ohmer finished with a total of 171, shooting 85 on Monday and 86 on Tuesday. Riley Kleck carded a 176, with an 84 in the first round and a 92 in the second. Lauren Reed completed the Bulldogs' starting lineup, finishing with a score of 178 after shooting 82 and 96.
The Bulldogs will next compete in Illinois at the Kathy Niepagen Invitational, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University, on April 12-13, beginning at 9:00 AM.
