NORMAL, Ill. – The Adrian College women's golf team competed at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University, this weekend, finishing in eleventh place out of 21 teams after shooting a total of 661 over two days.
Ainslee Hewitt led her squad throughout the tournament once again, finishing +16 with a total score of 160, after solid rounds of 78 and 82 to place tied for 22nd individually. Lauren Reed closed the weekend as the second-lowest scoring Bulldog, shooting rounds of 78 and 87, putting her tied for 41st in individual play at +21.
Sara Bevington finished right behind with a two-day +24 score. Bevington closed out weekend action with scores of 83 and 85 to finish tied for 53rd place in the individual rankings. Riley Kleck closed out the top-four for Adrian as she swung rounds of 81 and 89, closing her weekend +26 and tied for 59th.
Olivia Ohmer and Abigail Trepkowski also competed for the Bulldogs over the weekend as Adrian nears the end of their 2024-25 season, with only the MIAA Spring Finale left on the schedule. The Adrian College women's golf squad will travel to Battle Creek for the MIAA Spring Final on April 21-22.
