ALMA, Mich. - The Adrian College men's wrestling team sent a select group of competitors to the Bruce Dickey Open, hosted by Alma College, on Sunday afternoon.
Leading the Bulldogs was Jordan Ovalle in the 125-pound division, where he battled his way to a fifth-place finish. Ovalle posted a 2–2 record on the day with strong performances throughout the bracket.
At 141 pounds, Tyler Riedel also finished 2–2, earning both of his victories by decision. Cooper Honold competed at 141 as well and went 1–2 on the day, highlighted by a sudden-victory win. In the 149-pound weight class, Liam Totten recorded a 1–2 mark, with his win coming by injury default.
In the upper weights, Landon Amaya wrestled in the 174-pound division and finished 1–2, picking up a pinfall victory. Heavyweight Blake Daniels rounded out the Bulldogs' efforts at 285 pounds, going 1–2 with a win by decision.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Thursday, January 22 where they will host Trine University. The dual is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
