ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's wrestling team hosted the Adrian Futures event Saturday afternoon. No team scores were recorded, but several Bulldogs turned in strong individual performances.
At 141 pounds, Kenneth Thomas earned two victories, opening the day with an 18-2 technical fall before adding a 4-0 decision. Austin Seta found similar success at 149, securing back-to-back wins by fall in 1:54 and 2:14.
In the 165-pound bracket, Paden Gordinier posted an 18-2 technical fall and followed with a pin in 1:36.
Calob Heilman claimed first place at 174 pounds, highlighted by a 5-2 decision in the semifinals and a win by fall in the championship bout. Angelo Mastroianni earned a 12-5 decision to advance to the third-place match, ultimately finishing fourth.
At 184 pounds, Patrick Knight secured a third-place finish with a 25-13 major decision and a pin in 1:03.
The Bulldogs return to action February 27-28 at the NCAA Division III Central Regional, hosted by John Carroll University.
