CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) announced it's offensive and defensive players of the week on Tuesday afternoon, naming Adrian College senior, Carson Bell, as the Defensive Player of the Week.

Bell, a senior, middle blocker registered seven digs for the Bulldogs last week over three trilling matches. The Bulldogs opened up the week in a 3-2 thriller victory over Greenville, however fell 3-0 to a highly competive Wisconsin-Stevens Point team to open up their Saturday home tri-match. The Bulldogs did bounce back in their next match against Franklin, defeating them 3-0. The Hudsonville, Michigan native also racked up three solo blocks and nine block assist for a total of 12 blocks. Offensively, Bell recorded 21 kills, 49 total assists, and two service aces. 

Bell and his men's volleyball squad will be back in action Friday at home against Wittenberg University at 7:00 PM.
