FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) announced the Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon with Ava Lazzareschi of the Adrian College women's lacrosse team tabbing defensive player of the week.

Senior defender Ava Lazzareschi led the Bulldogs' defense during a 1–1 week, highlighted by a 20–8 victory at Capital. She recorded six ground balls and two caused turnovers across the two contests.

Lazzareschi and her squad will be back in action Wednesday at 4:00 PM as they host Augustana.
