ADRIAN, Mich. -- After eight years as a Bulldog—serving as a student-athlete, athletic training student, certified athletic trainer, and head coach of the Adrian College NCSA Division I softball program—the Adrian College Athletics Department extends its heartfelt gratitude to Kaitlyn Probelski '22 as she begins the next chapter of her career.
Probelski will depart Adrian College this summer to join Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, as an assistant athletic trainer. In her new role, she will provide athletic training services for the Lions women's soccer and softball programs.
Probelski's Bulldog journey began in 2018 as an undergraduate student. She earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2022 while competing for two seasons with the NCAA softball team and two seasons with the NCSA Division I softball team. She remained at Adrian to complete her Master of Science in Athletic Training, graduating in 2023.
Following graduation, Probelski joined the Adrian College athletic training staff as a certified athletic trainer, providing care and support for numerous Bulldog programs. During her time in the department, she worked with Men's ACHA Division II and III Hockey, Women's ACHA Division I and II Hockey, Figure Skating, Synchronized Skating, Men's Rugby, NCBA Division I and III Baseball, NCWA Men's Wrestling, NCVF Women's Club Volleyball, Bass Fishing, Cornhole, Dance, Equestrian, Esports, and Men's and Women's Bowling.
As head coach of the NCSA Division I softball program, Probelski transformed the program over three seasons. She inherited a roster of just eight players and grew it to 19 student-athletes by the 2025-26 season while compiling an overall record of 29-52.
Under her leadership, the Bulldogs achieved several program milestones, including their first victories over nationally competitive opponents such as Michigan and Michigan State, their first series sweep of Central Michigan, and the program's first regional tournament appearance in 2025, where Adrian eliminated conference rival Michigan State.
Probelski also guided the program to its first individual national and regional honors. In 2024, Allison Bell became the program's first NCSA First Team All-American. During the 2025 season, Anjelica Bolivar was named NCSA Pitcher of the Week and Hayden Cutler earned NCSA Player of the Week honors on Nov. 4, marking the first national weekly awards in program history. Most recently, on June 19, 2026, Michelle Huffman and Hayden Cutler were selected to the NCSA Division I Softball Great Lakes All-Region Second Team.
"We appreciate the hard work, energy, and commitment Kaitlyn has shared with Adrian College." Said Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator, Meg Sharp. "As a proud alum, she served so many student-athletes as an outstanding athletic trainer. Her presence on the sidelines and in the AT room has made a positive impact on many. We are equally grateful for her time and effort leading the NSCA softball program. She has laid a strong foundation for the team to continue building on."
Beyond her accomplishments on the field, Probelski made a lasting impact across Adrian College Athletics through her dedication, professionalism, and willingness to serve wherever she was needed. Whether covering early morning practices, traveling with teams, working late nights, or stepping in to support fellow staff members, she consistently put the needs of Bulldog student-athletes first while bringing a positive attitude to every opportunity.
The Adrian College Athletics Department thanks Kaitlyn for her years of commitment and service and wishes her continued success as she begins her new position at Lindenwood University.
