The Adrian College women's basketball team dropped its second straight road game on Wednesday night with a 63-56 loss at Ohio Northern. The Bulldogs fell behind 30-22 at halftime and actually outscored the Polar Bears, 34-33, in the second half.
Ashley McClarren led Adrian with 14 points and nine rebounds going 5-of-10 from the field and 4-of-5 at the foul line. The Bulldogs' starters went a combined 14-of-33 from the field for the game. Adrian as a team shot 41.5 percent for the contest but were just 1-of-6 from beyond the arc and 11-of-19 (.579) from the charity stripe. The Bulldogs were once again hurt by 24 turnovers and never could gain a lead while Ohio Northern built their largest lead at 16 points at the 15:34 mark of the second half.
Kim Olech scored nine points for the Black & Gold but started the game shooting 0-of-6. She finished the game 4-of-12 and also grabbed seven rebounds. Ohio Northern had a golden shooting touch from downtown going 6-of-11 from beyond the arc. Four players were in double figures for the Polar Bears led by Erin Brand's 14 points. Megan Cevasco scored all 11 of her points at the foul line going 11-of-15.
