Strong Second Half Gives Adrian 68-58 Win

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's basketball team extended their winning streak to five games after defeating the Ohio Northern Polar Bears 68-58 Wednesday night at the Merillat Center. The Bulldogs are now 5-1 overall.

Adrian shot well from the floor. They took a 32-29 lead into halftime after shooting 42 percent from the field. They were able to extend their lead in the second half by shooting an impressive 68 percent from the floor.

Jennifer Perrin scored eight of her 18 points in the first half. Katie Ross provided a spark off the bench by scoring eight points.

Megan Bouwens and Ashley McClarren each had 10 points for the Bulldogs. Bouwens added five rebounds.

Anita Stamps filled up the stat sheet with seven points, five rebounds, and three steals. Jenn Headley recorded a game-high seven rebounds for Adrian.

The Bulldogs will begin conference play this weekend with a match-up against Albion on Saturday, Dec. 6th at 3:00 p.m.
