Men's Lacrosse Falls 18-4 at #16 Denison

GRANVILLE, Ohio - The 16th-ranked Denison men's lacrosse team handed Adrian their second straight loss in Ohio this week with an 18-4 setback on Saturday. Adrian scored three of their goals in the first trailing 8-3 after 15 minutes. DU scored the first three goals in five minutes as Brady Burton netted a natural hat trick. Ryan Knautz and Tony Schrank cut the lead to 3-2 at the 6:21 mark but Denison scored the next four goals to increased their lead to 7-2 as Burton added a goal and assist in the first.

Tyler Tanguay scored with 42 seconds left in the first but Adrian went until the 1:26 mark of the third before finding the back of the net again as Jeff Ivey's goal was assisted by Tanguay. Kyle Bliss scored three goals in the second half for Denison.

Adrian committed just two penalties for two minutes but Denison did score one man-up goal. Adrian was 0-of-6 in man-up situations. Denison outshot Adrian, 50-18, and won 18-of-26 faceoffs. Pat Gaeger made nine saves in the first half and Eric Lindstrom made two saves in the second half. Adrian is now 5-5 on the year.
