Adrian College Inducts Men's Lacrosse Teams from 2009-14 in Athletic Hall of Fame

ADRIAN, Mich. – During Homecoming Weekend each year, Adrian College inducts a new class of Bulldogs into the Adrian College Athletic Hall of Fame. Throughout the week, Adrian Athletics will highlight the Class of 2026 and the accomplishments each inductee achieved during their time at Adrian College.

On Friday, October 2, 2026, Adrian College will induct six Adrian College men's lacrosse teams into the Hall of Fame. The teams being honored are the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 men's lacrosse teams.

The 2009 Bulldogs paved the way for the dynasty that Adrian men's lacrosse would quickly become. In just the program's second season, Adrian finished with an 8-6 record and set eight single-season statistical records. The Bulldogs were coached by Chris Delfausse.

Under the direction of Brendan Hayes, the 2010 men's lacrosse team finished the season with a 10-3 record and won the Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) Championship after posting a perfect 6-0 conference record. Hayes was named MLC Coach of the Year and led the Bulldogs to 13 All-Conference selections, which remains the most in program history in a single season. DJ Clevely became the first Bulldog to earn Conference Player of the Year honors. The 2010 team also ranks among the top five in 11 single-season statistical categories.

The 2011 Bulldogs won 15 games, ranking second in program history for wins in a single season. Adrian put together an 11-game winning streak during the season, outscoring its opponents 182-69 during the run. The Bulldogs captured their second MLC Championship and earned the first NCAA Tournament berth in program history. At the conclusion of the season, Josh Maluta became the first Bulldog to earn a spot in the USILA Senior All-Star Game. The 2011 team ranks among the top five in 16 single-season statistical categories.

The 2012 Bulldogs were coached by Don LaSala, who led the team to 17 wins and its third consecutive conference championship. Adrian returned to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history, battling Denison before falling in double overtime. The Bulldogs finished the season with 10 All-Conference selections, while Coady Adamson was named MLC Player of the Year and earned All-American honors. Adamson and Tyler Tanguay represented Adrian in the USILA Senior All-Star Game. The 2012 team ranks among the top 10 in 20 single-season statistical categories.

The 2013 men's lacrosse team finished the season with a 14-4 record and went 6-0 in its first season competing in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). After winning both the regular-season and conference tournament championships, the Bulldogs earned another NCAA Tournament berth and secured the first NCAA Tournament victory in program history with a 14-11 win over Otterbein. Adrian swept the MIAA Player of the Year awards, with Cody Kilcoyne earning Offensive Player of the Year honors and Brandon MacDonald earning Defensive Player of the Year honors. MacDonald represented the Bulldogs in the USILA Senior All-Star Game, while the team also received the James "Ace" Adams Sportsmanship Award. The 2013 team ranks among the top 10 in 10 single-season statistical categories.

In 2014, the Bulldogs captured their fifth conference championship and fourth conference tournament championship, earning another NCAA Tournament berth after finishing the season with a 13-4 record. Eric Fannell was named MIAA Offensive Player of the Year, while Brandon Parnham earned MIAA Defensive Player of the Year honors. The 2014 team ranks among the top 10 in 17 single-season statistical categories.

Together, the six teams established a foundation of success that helped shape Adrian men's lacrosse into one of the most accomplished programs in Bulldog history. From conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances to individual awards and program records, the teams from 2009 through 2014 played a significant role in establishing the tradition of excellence that continues today.

In addition to the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday night, the Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will be honored on the field prior to the Homecoming football game on Saturday.
