Bulldogs Pound Britons 24-4

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College men's lacrosse team defeated Albion College on Wednesday afternoon by the final score of 24-4. The Bulldogs are now 4-1 overall.

Adrian got out to a 9-1 lead after the first quarter. The second quarter also belonged to AC as the Bulldogs outscored the Britons 10-0. The tempo of the second half was much slower. Albion was able to score three goals in the third, but Adrian still held the 24-4 lead and neither team scored a goal in the fourth giving AC the lopsided win.

David Monroe and TJ Cook each had four goals for Adrian. The Bulldogs used a balanced scoring attack as DJ Clevely, Mitch Barnard, Josh Maluta, Ryan Knautz, Tyler Tanguay, Jeff Ivey, and John Hudzinski all added two goals apiece. Tony Schrank and Scott Krystiniak rounded out the scoring for Adrian with one goal each.

AC won 22 of the 31 face-offs in the game. They were also very efficient in clearing the ball as they were successful on 18 of their 20 tries. Adrian collected 52 groundballs, and went 3-for-6 on their extra man opportunities.

Three different players saw time as the goalkeeper for Adrian. Pat Gaeger played the entire first half. Gaeger made one save while picking up his fourth win of the season. Eric Lindstrom and Peter Moore also got some playing time in the second half.
