Final Stats
ADRIAN, Mich. -
The Adrian College men's lacrosse team (6-3) defeated Otterbein College by the final score of 17-3 on Wednesday afternoon. The Bulldogs are undefeated at home this season.
AC scored five goals in the first quarter to grab the lead. Tyler Tanguay scored the first two goals of the game for the Bulldogs. DJ Clevely and Brad Higgins picked up assists. Scott Krystiniak also scored two goals in the first. Krystiniak scored midway through the quarter off an assist from David Monroe. His second goal of the game came with less than 10 seconds to play on the game clock. Monroe rounded out the scoring for AC in the first.
Clevely dominated the second quarter. Clevely scored the first AC goal and then picked up an assist on the next two goals. Tanguay scored his third goal of the game. He now has 19 on the year. TJ Cook and Higgins scored the other two goals of the second to give Adrian a 9-0 lead. The Bulldogs once again attacked late in the quarter with a goal with just 13 seconds remaining.
The Bulldogs scored four in the third, and four more in the fourth to win the game 17-3. Monroe scored two goals in the third. He leads the team with 26 goals on the season. The Cardinals got on the scoreboard in the third as well. Alex Dowell scored two goals for Otterbein. Brandon MacDonald, John Hudzinski, Higgins, and Tony Schrank rounded out the scoring for Adrian in the fourth quarter.
Pat Gaeger, Peter Moore, and Eric Lindstrom all saw action as the goalie for Adrian. Gaeger got the win for the Bulldogs. He made seven saves.
