Big First Quarter Leads to 18-8 Win Over Trine

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College men's lacrosse team defeated Trine University by the final score of 18-8 on Wednesday night at Performance Stadium. The Bulldogs are now 9-3 overall, and they remain undefeated in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference.

The first quarter was the difference maker in tonight's game. Adrian was able to grab a 7-0 lead after the first 15 minutes of action and Trine wasn't able to close the gap. The Bulldogs narrowly outscored the Thunder by one goal in each of the last three quarters.

DJ Clevely led Adrian with eight points off two goals and a game-high six assists. David Monroe had a balanced game for the Bulldogs. Monroe ended the night with seven points off three goals and four assists. Tyler Tanguay impacted the game by scoring a team-high four goals against Trine. Tanguay also had two assists to end the game with six points.

Josh Maluta scored two goals and made two assists for the Bulldogs. Scott Krystiniak, Jeff Ivey, and Ryan Knautz all recorded two points. Ivey and Knautz had one goal and one assist, while Krystiniak scored two goals for his points. Donald Nowicki, John Hudzinski, and TJ Cook rounded out the scoring for AC.

Pat Gaeger played goalie for all sixty minutes to record his ninth win of the year. Gaeger made five saves.
