Hot Second Quarter Propels Bulldogs to Victory

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian Bulldogs lit up the net in the second quarter, scoring eight goals as Adrian went on its way to beat Concordia (Wis.) 13-3. Junior Coady Adamson led the Bulldogs with four goals on the afternoon, as Adrian improves to 4-1 (2-0 MLC) on the season.

The game got off to a slow start for Adrian, as the score was tied 1-1 halfway through the first period. Junior John Hudzinski changed that as he found the net from Adamson to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead with 4:49 left in the first. Adrian wouldn't look back from there, as they scored seven consecutive goals in the second, as the Bulldogs never trailed in the contest.

Senior David Monroe had another stellar performance for the Bulldogs, scoring three goals and adding three assists. Adrian also got another big game between the pipes from sophomore Kevin Lerg, as he allowed only three goals while saving 10 shots.

For the game, Adrian outshot Concordia (Wis.) 44-21. The Bulldogs also held a huge advantage in ground balls (43-22) and face-offs, winning 13 of 18.

With the win, the Bulldogs are now leading the Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) with a 2-0 record. The next contest for Adrian will come on Saturday, March 17th, as the Bulldogs will head to Wooster for a non-conference game, which will start at 1:00 pm.
