Box Score ADRIAN, Mich.--Senior Doug Boyd scored five goals and sophomore Michael Turner had five assists, but it wasn't enough for the Adrian College men's lacrosse team to offset a potent Hope College man-up offense in an 18-14 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association loss to the visiting Flying Dutchmen on Thursday.

= Turner added two goals for a career- and team-high seven-point afternoon. His five assists were two shy of a school single-game record.

= Freshman Conor Redden posted career bests of two goals, two assists and four total points.

= Gunnar Elder led all student-athletes with six goals, six assists and 12 total points.
= Parker Osterink and Gino Battaglia each recorded three goals and three assists.
= Joey Williams made nine saves in the cage to improve to 8-3 on the season.
= Thomas Sprys‐Tellner scooped up a game-high nine ground balls and went 19-for-35 at the "X."
= Chris Bosscher led the Hope defense with eight ground balls and six caused turnovers.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Hope scored on all five of its man-up opportunities.
= After a goal by Redden that closed Adrian's deficit to 10-8 with 10 minutes and 26 seconds left in the third quarter, Hope scored five of the next seven goals to take a 15-10 advantage early in the fourth. That was the biggest lead of the game.
= Adrian jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 4:18 on some nifty passing by Turner. Senior Jake Waldrup struck first at 13:09 after Turner, who was working the offense from behind the cage, saw him cutting down the lane for the first of his three tallies on the day. Then at 10:42, Turner connected with Redden on a similar play.
= Osterink and Waldrup traded goals as Adrian held its last lead, 3-2, with 5:33 remaining in the opening frame.
= Battaglia and Elder combined for the Flying Dutchmen's next two goals 25 seconds apart to put the visitors in front for good, 4-3, with 4:25 left in the first stanza.
= Down 8-4, Adrian scored three goals in a row off the crosse of Boyd. Hope led 8-7 at halftime.
= The teams combined for 56 turnovers.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
= This game was originally scheduled for last Saturday, but 7 inches of snow here caused the teams to postpone until today.
= Adrian lost to the Flying Dutchmen for the first time ever in five meetings.
= The Bulldogs' established several season highs including 14 goals, nine assists, 23 total points, 16 face-off wins and .852 clearing percentage (23-for-27).
= Hope extended its school record winning streak to eight after opening the season with three consecutive losses.
