Box Score ADRIAN, Mich.--Doug Boyd and Jake Waldrup combined for nine goals and four assists in their final appearances in an Adrian College uniform on Senior Day, but it wasn't enough as visiting Alma College was able to stave off a furious Bulldogs' comeback attempt with an 11-10 victory in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's lacrosse play on Saturday.

= Boyd led all scorers with seven points on four goals and three assists.
= Waldrup posted a game-high five goals and added an assist.
= Junior Cody Schmitt and led Waldrup both had six ground balls to pace the squad.
= Goalie Brett Farrelly, who is a senior academically with junior athletic eligibility, made 16 saves to keep the Bulldogs in the contest.
THE OPPOSITION
= Jared Nycz led the team with a game-high five assists among six total points.
= Marshall Argenta, Daniel Buchy and Austen Irrer had three goals apiece.
= Tanner Diment dominated the face-off "X" by winning 17 of 20 draws. He also had seven ground balls.
= Ben Luzar led all student-athletes with nine ground balls.
= Al Lesperance made eight saves to improve to 12-4 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Buchy scored what proved to be the game-winning goal off a feed from Nycz just 39 seconds into the fourth quarter, making the score 11-5.
= But the Bulldogs didn't lie over and scored five times in a span of 10 minutes and 13 seconds to close within 11-10 with 1:24 remaining. Waldrup keyed the scoring spree with three goals and Boyd scored twice.
= Alma, which never trailed, scored the game's first four goals before Boyd put Adrian on the scoreboard with 7:26 left in the opening stanza.
= The Scots took a 7-2 lead into halftime.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
= Waldrup finished the spring as the school's single-season record holder with 89 shots on goal. He posted career highs of 36 goals, eight assists, 44 total points and 40 ground balls.
= Boyd concluded his Adrian career with 83 goals, 77 assists and 160 points to rank ninth, third and fifth, respectively, in program history.
= Farrelly has 193 saves on the season to increase his school record by 25. He'll enter his final year in 2017 ranked second (364) behind only Kevin Lerg (486 from 2011-14) on the Bulldogs' all-time saves chart.
= Seniors Zac Fischl, Javier Guerra, Dan Hudson and Eddie Shaeffer also were playing their final games today in their only season with the Adrian program. Hudson led the Bulldogs with 111 face-off wins and scooped up 53 ground balls on the year.
= Adrian ends its season while the Scots will be advancing to the MIAA Tournament as the No. 2 seed, boasting the conference's best overall mark.
