Box Score MOUNT BERRY, Ga.--Host Berry College rallied from a 2-0 deficit to double up Adrian College, 4-2, in non-conference baseball action on Sunday afternoon. It was the season opener for the latter Bulldogs.

THE OPPOSITION
= Devin Post went 3-for-4 with a run batted in to pace the Vikings' 12-hit attack.
= Jacob Delk and Alfred Francis had two hits apiece. Delk scored twice and had a triple.
= Trey Rampy (W, 3-0) pitched five scoreless innings in relief to pick up the victory. He allowed one hit and had four strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Berry--with 10 games under its belt this spring already--outhit Adrian 12 to 6.
= Kris Patel broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning with an RBI-single, and Casey Whitaker added an insurance run in the next frame when he grounded out to second base.
= Things started well enough for the Bulldogs who grabbed a 2-0 lead after two innings. Hayes reached on error by the second baseman to drive home Mikowski from third after he had led off the game with a bunt single. In the top of the second, sophomore Jordan Torrento earned a leadoff walk and advanced to second on a single by Resto. After both runners advanced a base on a wild pitch, sophomore Zack Zschering hit into a RBI-fielder's choice to plate Torrento.
= Berry cut the deficit in half with a run in its home second inning when Post hit a RBI-single to left field.
= In their next at-bat, the Vikings tied it 2-all as Slade Dale flied out to center for a sacrifice fly to bring in Austin Haight from third base after he led off with a single.
= After leaving five runners on base through the first three innings, the potent Adrian offense (.333 BA, .438 OBP, 8.7 runs/game in 2016) was held in check the rest of the way as Berry pitching retired 18 of the last 19 batters.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Adrian defeated Berry, 5-4, in the schools' only previous meeting on March 6, 2015.
