Box Score ANGOLA, Ind.--Host Trine University used a fast 7-0 start in the first quarter to pin a 16-1 loss on Adrian College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's lacrosse action on Sunday, as the teams played under wet and cold conditions.

= Freshman Kyle Sanderson and senior Michael Turner combined on Adrian's lone goal a man-up in the fourth quarter.
= Senior defenseman Michael Desmadryl led the team with four ground balls and he had a game-best three caused turnovers.
= Junior attackman Morgan Caldwell chipped in three ground balls and a caused turnover.
THE OPPOSITION
= Justin Gearig and Nick Maher led all scorers with five points on three goals and two assists each.
= Neil Orr also recorded a hat trick and he had an assist.
= Garrett Nichols led all student-athletes with eight ground balls. He also went 10-for-14 in the face-off "X."
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Trine continued to increase its lead in the second quarter, winning 9-0 at halftime. The Thunder outscored the Bulldogs 7-1 in the second half.
= The Thunder outshot the Bulldogs 52-12 (24-6 on goal) and won the ground ball battle (35-15).
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
= Adrian still leads the all-time series 8-3, but Trine has won the last three meetings.
= Desmadryl moved up two spots today to fifth place on the Adrian all-time ground balls chart with 122, tying Josh Maluta who played from 2008 to 2011. He also ties Max Groves (2014-15) for fourth with 46 career caused turnovers.
= Today's game was rescheduled from Saturday due to inclement weather and the start time was delayed two hours so visiting Adrian could better traverse icy roads.
= Turner moved into sole possession of sixth place on the program's all-time assist list with 48, surpassing Cody Kilcoyne (2012-13).
= Adrian senior Greg Stewart checked into the school's top-10 for all-time caused turnovers (No. 10 with 29 for a career) with one this afternoon. He's the 12th Bulldog ever to record at least 29 caused turnovers.
