ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's lacrosse program has teamed up with the HEADstrong Foundation to help raise money to fight cancer. Lacrosse teams across the country come together every year to compete in the Lacrosse Mustache Madness in efforts to earn donations.
Lacrosse teams are encourage to grow mustaches and compete head to head to raise money for families affected by cancer.
HEADstrong founder, Nicholas Colleluori was diagnosed with cancer years ago while attending the Hofstra University and playing lacrosse. Ken Clausen from the University of Virginia created the Mustache Madness campaign in efforts to support Colleluori.
The HEADstrong Foundation donations provides complimentary nights of amenities, lodging, and support for families affected by cancer.
The Bulldogs set a goal to raise $2,500 in donations. The team will also grow mustaches and go head-to-head with other college lacrosse programs to see who can grow the best mustaches and raise the most money.
