ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Men's Lacrosse team has released its 2024 season schedule.
The Bulldogs are coming off of a 9-8 season (4-2 Conference) and a third place finish in the MIAA. The team will be looking to add to their success in hopes of an even higher finish this coming season.
Adrian had a number of bright spots in 2023, including
Michael Jonas who potted 54 goals last season, good for second all-time in program history and only one short of the program record. On defense,
Cameron Reed shattered his own program record by recording 50 caused turnovers during his sophomore season.
Key matchups for the Bulldogs in 2024 include games against three teams who competed at the NCAA Championship tournament last season, and eight non-conference opponents who qualified for their respective conference playoffs one season ago.
Head Coach
Brett Wetzel had this to say about the upcoming season:
"We are very excited about this schedule that features top competition from all corners of the Midwest. Every single team that we face this Spring, has earned our respect with their play last season, there are no slouches. This is an extremely challenging schedule that will prepare for the tough MIAA schedule in April. The team wants to be pushed this season to help us take that next step as a program and we will be this Spring."
The Bulldogs open their season at home on February 21 as they take on Ohio Northern University at 4:00 PM at Docking Stadium. The MIAA schedule will begin on April 6 against Calvin University.
