FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Seniors
Michael Jonas and
Cameron Reed of the Adrian College men's lacrosse team swept the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) released its All-Conference honors for the 2025 season on Tuesday morning, officially naming a total of six members of the Adrian College Bulldogs to the All-MIAA awards teams.
This is the first time since 2014 that Adrian College has fielded the Player of the Year and the third time they've captured both the Offensive and Defensive POY awards in the same season. Jonas and Reed become the 7th and 8th Bulldogs in program history to be named Conference Player of the Year. Both players were also named to the All-MIAA First Team; marking the third career honor for Jonas and fourth career honor for Reed.
Jonas and Reed have been stand-out performers for the Bulldogs this season, leading the way on both sides of the ball, while also breaking numerous Adrian College men's lacrosse program records. Over six MIAA conference games in 2025, Jonas tallied 21 goals and 17 assists for 38 points, finishing first in conference scoring and points-per-game. Reed collected 6 goals, 2 assists, and dominated with 38 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers.
Also earning All-MIAA First Team honors were Junior Attacker,
Austin Selvage, and Senior Goaltender,
Sam Spangler. Selvage earns his first career All-Conference accolade, while Spangler grabs his first-ever First Team honor and fourth career All-Conference award.
Selvage produced 7 goals and 14 assists over 6 conference games this season, serving as one of Adrian's top scorers all year. Spangler, who has also set program records this season, started all 6 conference games for the Bulldogs during his Senior campaign, making 78 total saves and earning 5 victories.
Alec Winegar and
Brandon Hoerauf rounded out the award recipients, as both Midfielders were named to the All-MIAA Second Team for the second time in their Bulldog careers. Both Winegar and Hoerauf have contributed immensely to the Bulldog transition game and have provided secondary offense up front. Over 6 games, Winegar contributed 9 goals, including 3 while a Man-Up, and 2 assists. Hoerauf tallied 7 markers and 3 helpers.
All six Bulldogs have played crucial parts in Adrian's success this season, leading their team to an 11-6 overall record so far and a No. 2 seeding for the MIAA Conference Tournament after a 5-1 agenda versus conference opponents during the regular season.
The Adrian College men's lacrosse team will host No. 3 seed Albion College tonight at Docking Stadium at 7:00 PM for a chance to advance to the Friday, May 2 MIAA Championship contest.
