MANHEIM, Pa. -- The Adrian College women's wrestling team reached a significant milestone this week, earning a spot in the NCAA Women's Top 25 Coaches Poll for the first time this season. The Bulldogs debuted at No. 20 in the latest rankings released by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), marking a major step forward for the growing program.
The poll comes on the heels of an action-packed weekend at the 2026 NWCA/USMC National Dual Meet Championships in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where intense competition led to notable movement throughout both the team and individual rankings, the Bulldogs placed 11th at.
The latest individual rankings reflected the parity and depth of the sport, with Mia Gaetjens earning a spot in the national rankings at 180 pounds, landing a No. 6 ranking.
While four Bulldogs claim spots in the latest individual regional rankings. At 103 pounds, Alexis Baumgartner improves to the No. 4 spot, while Carleigh Czerneski improves to the No. 3 spot at 117 pounds. Zionah Gardner earns herself a spot at No. 5 in the 145 pound class and Gaetjens stays put in No. 3 in the 180 pound class.
This Bulldogs women's wrestling squad will be back in action Friday and Saturday at the Indiana Tech Warriors Open.
