Box Score NOTRE DAME, Ind.--Freshman Sadia Johnson notched her third-straight 20-point effort, and sophomore Ashley Morris added 17, to lead visiting Adrian College to a 67-56 victory Wednesday over Saint Mary's College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's basketball action.

TOP 'DAWGS
- Johnson scored a team-best 20 points on 7-for-15 shooting, including a pair of treys. She also had four rebounds.
- Morris made 5 of 11 field goal attempts and went 7-for-11 at the free throw line. She also led Adrian with eight rebounds and three assists.
- Freshman Angelina Goosby contributed eight points (4-6 FGs), five rebounds, two steals and two assists.
THE OPPOSITION
- Gabby Diamond pumped in a game-high 21 points and she grabbed eight rebounds.
- Kelsey Ronan led all student-athletes with 10 rebounds.
- Ally Steve chipped in 11 points.
- Erin Maloney had a nice statline of eight points as well as game highs of five assists, three steals and two blocked shots.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Adrian also enjoyed a sizeable advantage on the glass, outrebounding SMC 46 to 33. With 18 offensive rebounds, the Bulldogs cashed-in on 18 second-chance points (Belles, 8).
- The visitors held the lead for most of the evening as the teams combined for just one tie and two lead changes.
- Adrian took a 15-10 lead at the end of the first quarter and extended it to 18-12 after a Morris traditional 3-point play with 8 minutes, 46 seconds left in the second.
- The Belles went on a 7-0 run capped by Steve's 3ball to give them their only lead of the contest at 19-18 at the 6:15 mark.
- Junior Mariah Jackson's jumper two possessions later gave the Bulldogs back the lead for good, sparking a 10-4 run to end the first half. Adrian led 30-23 at the intermission.
- Adrian stayed at least one possession ahead in the second half.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Bulldogs have won three games in a row and five of their last six outings.
- Johnson, who has scored 21-22-and-20 points in her last three games, is averaging a MIAA-third-leading 15.9 points per game. She leads all conference freshmen in scoring.
- The Bulldogs eclipse their win total of last season (11-13 overall) with four to play in the regular season.
- Adrian has won the last 10 meetings versus Saint Mary's and now lead the all-time series, 27-16.
