FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) announced its Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, with the Adrian College Bulldogs women's lacrosse team sweeping by earning recognition for their performance last week.
Senior
Jenna Allie was named Offensive Player of the Week after a dominate performance against Ohio Northern University. Allie racked up eight points, tallying five goals and three assists, while also contributing to three caused turnovers and five ground balls. Two of her goals were free possession goals and she went two for two on the game. Allie also claimed three draw controls in Saturday's contest.
Sophomore
Bella Norton was named Defensive Player of the Week for her outstanding performance in net against Ohio Northern. Norton asserted her dominance between the pipes Saturday, as she registered 14 saves while allowing only nine goals, further solidifying her presence as a defensive anchor. With that Norton also shutout the Owls in the fourth quarter, while the Bulldogs exploded with seven goals that quarter.
Junior
Madeline Turcotte was named Specialist of the Week for her dominance in the midfield. Turcotte racked up seven points, tallying five goals and two assists, while grabbing one ground ball against Ohio Northern. She also claimed ten draw controls on the day for the Bulldogs.
These three Bulldogs and their squad will be back in action Saturday, February 21 against Milwaukee School of Engineering. Opening Draw set to take place at 3:00 PM.
